Stefunk - Adayinthelifeofacrazedmom This domestic goddess will share her life with her 3 girls, recipes, home decorating tips and more. She loves photography or should I say photoshop!

Dena - Thoughtsbydena She finds the most interesting things to blog about. Thoughs for each day, insights to your being, and warming stories about her family.

Kristie - NotqutiewhatIhadplanned Another fellow scrapbooker, mom, and wonderful writer. I wish I had 1/10 of her writing ability. Her posts are wonderful. Again, I can usually get a smile or a chuckle :)

Coachblogger - Sorry, I don't know your name! This man is raising 4 beautiful girls and while being a head football coach for a high school team. He has a unique look on life!

Cheryl - Apeekintomylife This lovely woman is the mother of 2, loves to scrapbook but like all of us hardly has time, and takes wonderful pictures. I enjoy reading about her and her family.

Itsadisneyworldafterall a fun blog to find out what may or may not be going on in the World!

Pioneerwoman is another awesome blog - but I don't think she posts awards on there! She does have amazing recipes!

I'm still trying to grow my followers, like I've said before, my friends here in Lubbock think I'm crazy to blog. Don't know how I find time, they won't start. I think I know more of my niece's friends thru blogging than ones who live within 5 miles of me!!

Thanks again to Sally for the award, and I did not list my awardees(word?) in any particular order!

Have a great weekend!

Did Someone Say Cruise?

Ever since I was about 9 years old I've wanted to go on a cruise! I don't know why, just something I've always wanted to do. Next year, June 8, 2010 will be our 25th anniversary. Kev gave me the OK to use our DVC points and book a cruise for then!!

Yippee, We're, going cruisin!!!! I can't wait, I've been researching everything about Disney Cruises, ordered a free DVD, and have found a countdown banner for this blog but can't get it to load, hmmm.

So, be forewarned, over the next 460 days you'll be getting updated about Disney Cruises as I learn! I consider myself an expert on WDW, but a complete newbie to cruising :)

This will be an exciting adventure and I will learn a lot, I'm sure. First up, getting kids their passports! 5 of us going, our 21 year old wasn't sure about a cruise, college or whether he would be graduating and starting a new job!!

Friday The 13th!

I know, 2nd blog for the day!! I felt inspired when I awoke this morning!

People in general are superstitious about Friday the 13th! But my inquiring mind wanted to know why! According to a Google search here are a few facts on Friday the 13th:

The whole thing might date to Biblical times (the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus). By the Middle Ages, both Friday and 13 were considered bearers of bad fortune.

More modern myths according to Google:

1. Fear of Friday the 13th — one of the most popular myths in science — is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13.

2. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor and some airline terminals omit Gate 13.

3. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and President Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13.

4. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner party. A friend warned him not to go. "It was bad luck," Twain later told the friend. "They only had food for 12." Superstitious diners in Paris can hire a quatorzieme, or professional 14th guest.

5. The number 13 suffers from its position after 12, according to numerologists who consider the latter to be a complete number — 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.

Oh, by the way, 2009 is an unusually 'unlucky' year with 3 Friday the 13ths! The last one will be in November!

Hope that cleared up any questions!

Where the Kids Hang

Ever notice how there always seems to be one house in a neighborhood where all the kids congregate? Like, in OK my niece has the pool so everyone is always at her house in the summer! Well, I've thought about it, over the years, and I think MY house is that house for our neighborhood!

When my oldest boys were younger we always had a houseful of kids running around. And even though we don't live close to school, at times there are a ton of kids at this house coming and going in every direction.

Case in point, last weekend - the neighbors, we know socially - they've only lived next door 6 months, had a birthday for their daughter who turned 2. Apparently they had a party for Tatum. You know when you have a party for a 2 year old you have lots of older kids at it. Amelia and AJ were in the front playing, and all of a sudden it was loud out there! Being a good Mom, I go check to see what is going on! This is what I find.

What these new friends did discover right off is that wheelies work wonders with the Zip Cord!! When you start getting down low, just roll to the end!

This is how my kids spent their Saturday afternoon. The Zip Cord, new friends, bikes, and the wheel chair. I don't know why playing in a wheel chair is so much fun. After having to use it for several months back 2007, I haven't figured that one out. More things to ponder!

Oh, and before you all start asking, the Zip Cord, can be fond in catalogs like Lillian Vernon - called FUN RIDE. I'm sure it's online somewhere else!

Buzz, Ding, Beep...

Modern society - we are controlled by these endless sounds! From the moment we are rudely awakened in the morning - BUZZZZZ - by the alarm clock until we go back to bed at night we have constant noise. Lets take a look -

Washers/Dryers - Beep~

Microwaves - Ding

Phones - Ring Cells - dee da deet = text. Any other numerous sounds for other things~ we can have music, vibrations, tones, or whatever!

Cars - Back up sensors - Beep; Horns - BLARE; Turn Signals - Click; Tires - Screech~

Timers - Ding I use them in the kitchen!

Refridgerators - Beep if the door doesn't close after 2 minutes, believe me this gets annoying when you are trying to put up groceries from mega shopping or Clean the fridge!

TIVO - Blips and Bongs~

Lets not forget Doorbells! Both at home and in STORES - so annoying!!

Cash Register/Scanner - Beeps/Blips so that you know you have spent another dollar!

Hmm, with all these noises, do I really want to think about a hearing aids as I get older?

Just my thoughts for the day.

I Got An Award!

Wow, I'm honored, 6 weeks blogging and I have an award! Who would have thought? Thanks to Dena for honoring me.
I gladly accept this award, and as the rules say, I must pass it on to 8 fellow bloggers.

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. The kind of bloggers that aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of the prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award".

Now, I'm suppose to pass this onto 8 friends. I however only have 6 followers and I know for sure 2 don't blog. Dena sent this me, so minus another friend. I guess, I'll have to send it in the future to other bloggers!

Well, here are the people I nominate:

1. Stefunk: www.Adayinthelifeofacrazedmom.blogspot.com Here you will read original writing style and have your spirits lifted.

2. Sally: www.Sallysworld.blogspot.com Sally is truly inspirational. She has been thru a lot as a mom and has even published a book.

3. Lori: www.Icanberightoricanbehappy.blogspot.com Lori is a fellow Disney fan and has fun on her blog.

4. Kristi: www.NotquitewhatIhadplanned.blogspot.com Kristi doesn't follow my blog, but I love hers! She is humorous and has a writing style I love.

All of these women have fun styles and seem to enjoy life and I give a laugh when I need them. If Dena hadn't given me the award, I'd give it to her, or wait, can I give it back to her?

Belated Thankyou!

I told you all about Mardi Gras, and had the picture of that awesome GIANT Cookie bouquet. (If you missed it go back to Feb 25th)

Well, what I didn't get to tell you was, Cookies by Design, was giving away 2 bouquets. People could register and 2 lucky winners would win a yummy bouquet of their own! Can you see where this is going?

Yes, I was one of the lucky winners!!! Life has been crazy and I have been deliquent in saying THANK YOU. Sorry!

Here is a picture of what I won ~

Does this look familiar? A smaller version of the bouquet I took a picture of the night of Mardi Gras! Fate? Kismet? I don't know! I found out that I won the bouquet after my blog was posted!
