Back to School Supplies!!!

Didn't school just get out? I know I feel like it did. I'm just getting use to sleeping late. However, have you looked in the stores? Hobby Lobby has Christmas out! All the other stores have the school supplies out! The stores have been putting them out since June! I know this because son number 2 works at Office Max and he has been doing the freight and spent 2 weeks working nights setting up all the school supply displays.

I decided to get my shopping done now and avoid the MOBS! Also, because of WDW I wanted this ugly task out of the way!

Want to see what the kids got? They were excited, and I'm sad to say that I'm pretty sure I'll have to make another trip, but I'm fairly good at figuring out what they need ahead of time and figuring out what the shared class supplies will be! I've been through this rodeo before!

School starts August 22, my lazy sleep in days will be coming to a halt. Oh how I love summer, sigh......

AJ is in heaven!!!

Can you tell what Amelia likes?!?

A calculator for pre-algerbra!

LOVE the name!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we need duck tape! We have many different spirit days, and duck tape day is one of them! When we found patterned duck tape we were in heaven, but when we found "Funky Flamingo" we were REALLY Happy :-)

And, I was a good Mom, I made a special trip to Target just for Star Wars stuff for AJ. I buy most of my supplies at Office Max. Any discount helps at this time of year!

Enjoying the last days of summer while I can! Later....

Our school actually supplies a list of supplies that each grade is suppose to have. In addition to the usual notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, etc. we're expected to provide kleenex and ziploc baggies too! Although I'm not complaining...I've read where some schools in other states are now charging rental fees for books, ungodly amounts for field trips, etc....I think we have it pretty good here! And my son LOVES Star Wars too!!! He will be getting a lot of the same things you have pictured! LOL :o)

OH, I forgot to mention...we start school Aug. 16th! We'll be getting our shopping done next Wednesday...and I usually buy double the amount of supplies that are needed cuz we have to "re-fill" they're supplies as they run out through the year...thank goodness for good sales!! :o)

I can't believe it is back to school time. My daughter starts her Senior year on August 9th. I am NOT ready for this!!! I am just getting used to sleeping in a bit. Oh well.
As for school supplies. We have done little shopping for those just yet. Only pencils and 5 Star Notebooks. I learned a few years ago to wait until after the first day of school to buy supplies, because they require special items like certain kinds of folders and binders, not to mention calculators.
So we are shopping for school clothes now and supplies later.

mom i am going to miss sleeping in. thanks for all the supplies they well be helpful always.

Cheryl we normally buy double the supplies too. Over the years we have saved some of the supplies from 4th and 5th grade. The teachers don't give us the list till open house. That is how they have done it for years.

I love you mom,
your only and favorite daughter amelia! :)

I can help!!!!! (It's Quap!!) Unfortunately... AJ I am so sorry... You've got to put up with me in 7th grade! I am super excited even though you are probably crying. :) The basics for English are a 1.5, white, clear view binder, dividers, and 3 different colored highlighters!!! AJ and Amelia are my best "peeps"! I love them, and I cannot wait to see them everyday!

The Best to you and the rest of the Funk Gang until we meet again,
