Then onto Mobile Bay, AL to the USS Alabama. We spent the night at the Battleship Inn! It had been raining on and off all day. We were following a front. But a good omen showed up.....
After a torrential downpour, the rainbow showed up!
The kids played in the pool, then cleaned up, we slept like logs, then we got up, ate breakfast and toured the Battleship!

The kids really enjoyed going through this ship. It was fun and educational. The guys also did the USS Drum, the submarine. This was the first official day of vacation, you have a lot more posts coming!!

I've got my bowl of popcorn...let's get this slideshow started. LOL
I am glad you had a good trip. My dad loved to drive and when I moved to NY after college, picked him up from work at 10pm and we drove through the night and next day to Virginia (i think.) Brings back memories.
