Happy 84th Mom!

Grammie Lou tries out the Wii!!

Yes, that's right, today March 16th is my Mom's 84th Birthday! She doesn't act like most 84 year old women. She still lives on her, always on the go, takes less medication than I do at 48, volunteers at the hospital 2 days a week, active with her church group, and loves being with Grand kids!

Mom has more talent in her little finger than I'll have. I never had store bought Halloween costume. Amelia has never had a store bought costume! Below, Amelia and her cousins wear costumes that Mom made for Amelia over the years. Chris and Tyler never had store bought costumes either, and this is the first year that AJ elected to!

Amelia as a Cheetah Girl, McKinley as Lucy, Reagan as Mother Goose, and Kennedy as Dorothy.

Mom can also Knit, crochet, and draw. There is hardly anything she can't make. Man, I wish I has received some of that talent!

Anyway, I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Mom, where do you want to go dinner tonight??

Love,
Your 'Baby'

Hello Cozyflier
I noticed you started following my blog so I thought I would pop over get acquainted.
What a lovely post about your Mum. My Mum (Beryl)just had her 87th birthday on 5 March and is still very active like Lou.....Its great to know we both have good genes!
I have different talents to my Mum as well...she cooks up a storm....I enjoy eatting!

Just read you profile question about cartoons...I loved the Jetsons as well....George, Jane, Judy and Elroy...haven't thought about them for years and years...thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Our mutual friend Steph is certainly an inspiration with that fundraiser she joined for Mitch.

Look forward to seeing you around.
Cheers
Peggy
